Group healing sessions are a powerful tool for you to heal from the trauma, ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), and ‘red flag’ events that are lodged in your subconscious mind. They will also help you change your blueprint.  

In the group sessions, we deal only with the emotional causes of depression. 

Group healing sessions are a way for everybody to have access to healing. There are different options that will suit your particular budget and circumstances. 

They are a wonderful way to slowly work at clearing your trauma with me, in a supportive, caring and no-pressure environment, with others who share your pain. 

How the sessions work

I work directly with one, 2 or more participants – as many as the session time allows for. We work on their ‘red flag event’ and the rest of the group works with their own individual events at the same time. Because many events are similar, everyone benefits. 

It often feels as if the healing benefit is amplified through working in a group! There is something special about group support – there is a tremendous feeling of understanding, acceptance and love – with no judgement.

Q: How is this different from traditional talk therapy/seeing a psychologist?

A: Traditional talk therapy works primarily on the principle of reflection, where you talk and the therapist reflects back at you what you are feeling. Or, in the case of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, you are taught how to control your thoughts about situations, and thus logically change the outcome. The modality behind the group healing sessions is called Optimal Emotional Freedom Technique. It focuses on identifying ‘red flag’ events in the past that caused a high level of negative emotion, and neutralizing the trauma around these events. As these traumas are healed, the brain is able to let go of old beliefs and patterns, including those that result in feelings of depression. Because this healing is done in the subconscious mind, results are quick, powerful and lasting. Your life automatically changes, without conscious effort.

Q: Are group healing sessions as effective as 1-on-1 sessions?

A: They are as effective in healing trauma, but they are different. In 1-on-1 sessions we have the chance to deal with deeply personal things that you may not be comfortable to share in a group setting; and all the time is spent on you. Most people love the support and understanding they receive from other group members, and the healing often feels amplified because of this. Each person is different; you may feel the need for group or 1-on-1 sessions at different times.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: This is different for every person; you have access for as long as you want, and many people love the idea of a ‘lifeline’ that’s there when they need it! As you heal and grow, your needs change and you will find different things to work on. There is no pressure to sort your issues out quickly, because you’re paying a therapist per hour. You work at a pace that’s comfortable for you, slowly peeling back the ‘layers of the onion’, until you feel amazing and your life is flourishing!

Q: Do I have to reveal my personal ‘stuff’ in front of the group?

A: You have an opportunity at every session to work directly with me. If you don’t want to, you will work privately on your issue, as I work with somebody else. You will still heal, without sharing anything with me or the group.
